About the Performer

Robert Ball is an acclaimed soul and jazz vocalist who’s performed in over 60 countries, headlining for Royal Caribbean International and gracing global Pride stages. A seasoned entertainer, Robert brings depth, charisma, and a world-class voice to every note — blending the timeless essence of jazz with the emotion of modern soul.

The New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Menu

First Course

  • Beef Tartare — hand-cut beef tartare, spicy crispy corn tuile, mustard emulsion, fried pickled green peas

  • Salmon Tiradito (ask for gluten-free) — fresh salmon tiradito, ají amarillo oil, roasted avocado, baked asparagus & carrot, gochujang gelée, toasted bread

  • Pan-Fried Spring Rolls (vegan & gluten-free) — rice paper vegetable rolls, Asian dipping sauce, seaweed & rice crisp tuile

Main Course

  • Black Risotto & Seabass Mosaic (gluten-free) — squid-ink risotto, seabass mosaic, roasted red pepper coulis, lemon, seasonal greens

  • Fire-Cooked Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce — butter-herb sautéed beef tenderloin, wild mushroom sauce, fire-roasted vegetables, caramelized cauliflower purée

  • Tempura Tofu on Mixed Purée (vegetarian - ask for vegan) — crispy tempura tofu, pea–potato–roasted yellow pepper purée, sautéed broccoli & cauliflower

Function’s 3-Night Halloween Party: Music, Mischief & Mayhem

October 30–31 & November 1 • Midtown Toronto

This Halloween, Function Bar & Kitchen transforms into Midtown’s ultimate haunted hideaway — with three nights of live music, costumes, festive eats, and spooky cocktails.
From October 30 to November 1, come dressed to impress (or distress!) for your chance to win costume contest prizes and experience a different live show each night.

Night 1: Vamplounge – The Groove from the Underworld

They only rise once a year… and they’re hungry for funk.
Join Vamplounge, a band of vampires from the underworld, for a ghoulishly groovy night of covers and originals. Expect slick basslines, haunting harmonies, and plenty of surprises — the perfect way to kick off Function’s Halloween bash.
