Wayne Jackman — Live 60s-80s Hits • Saturday, April 11

Meet the Act

Wayne Jackman — affectionately known as the Teddy Pendergrass of Barbados — brings over 50 years of music, soul, and showmanship to the stage.

Starting at just 15 years old as the youngest member of the Barbados Police Band, Wayne has spent a lifetime honing his craft across drums, bass, keyboard, and sax… all leading to what he’s best known for: a rich, captivating voice that carries the heart of every song.

Backed by a seasoned rhythm section — Ossie Gurley (keyboard), Kirk Layne (drums), and Joel Craigg (bass) — the group delivers a timeless set of 60s, 70s, and 80s hits spanning R&B, soul, pop, and reggae.

With performances across Europe, the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean — including appearances at major jazz festivals — Wayne delivers a timeless set of 60s, 70s, and 80s hits spanning R&B, soul, pop, and reggae. It’s music you know, delivered with warmth, charisma, and lived-in experience.

The Feel
